Nelly Furtado took to her Twitter earlier today to reveal the cover art for her highly anticipated new album, The Spirit Indestructible. “It’s light in color so that it’s black-sharpie-ready for when I sign CDs for the beautiful fans,” tweeted the singer.
Nelly also unveiled Part 3 of the Behind the Scenes series about the official video for “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better),” which will premiere this Monday, May 7th on Vevo.

The Spirit Indestructible is due June 19th on Interscope.

Nelly Furtado has just unveiled the first of a three part behind-the-scenes look at the making of her upcoming music video, “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better).” In the clip, Nelly takes us to rehearsals at 3rd Street Dance Studios in Los Angeles, where World Champion Native American hoop dancers are practicing for the shoot. She also visits with the wardrobe stylist for the video, who’s helping to find the perfect look for “Big Hoops.” Parts 2 and 3 of the series plus a teaser clip for the video are soon to follow.

Nelly has also shared two more teaser photos, in addition to the shots that were released earlier this week.. “Big Hoops (Bigge The Better)” (available now on iTunes) will appear on the much anticipated Spirit Indestructible, due June 19th on Interscope Records/Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group.

Grammy winning Maroon 5 are currently storming Billboard with their new single, “Payphone,” which debuted at #1 on the Digital Songs chart. With nearly 500,000 downloads, “Payphone” broke the Black Eyed Peas’ previous record for digital sales by a group. The infectious single, featuring rapper Wiz Khalifa, also landed at #3 on the overall Hot 100, behind only Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” and fun.’s “We Are Young.”

The band, fronted by The Voice coach Adam Levine, unveiled the song live on the show early last week along with Wiz. “Payphone” (available now on iTunes) is the first single from Maroon 5′s highly anticipated fourth album, Overexposed, due out June 26th on A&M/Octone. The album is available for pre-order now on iTunes and will be released in multiple formats. Maroon 5 is also releasing a special Songs About Jane 10th Anniversary re-issue on June 5th, which will feature demos, unreleased material, videos and more.

Multi-platinum global superstar Nelly Furtado has revealed the title and release date of her upcoming fifth album. The Spirit Indestructible will be released on June 19th, and the album’s first single, “Big Hoops (Bigger is Better)” (which Furtado co-wrote with Rodney Jerkins), will be available tomorrow on iTunes.

Furtado co-wrote each song on The Spirit Indestructible, which, in keeping with her musically eclectic nature, finds her working with an array of collaborators from across the musical spectrum, including hip-hop songwriter-producer Salaam Remi (Furtado’s “The Night is Young,” Nas), pop songwriter-producer Rodney Jerkins (Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Lady Gaga), veteran metal producer Bob Rock (Metallica), Dutch DJ and EDM producer Tiesto, rock songwriter and producer John Shanks, and Jamaican reggae producer Da Genius. A deluxe version of the album will feature several bonus tracks, including Furtado’s collaborations with Fraser T. Smith (Adele), producer and Passion Pit lead singer Mike Angelakos, and a track featuring the Kenyan Boys Choir that Furtado produced herself.

“I began writing these songs around the time I released my Spanish album Mi Plan,” Furtado says. “I was in a great headspace, feeling refreshed and ready to really deliver in English again. This album is all about positivity, youth, good energy, and the relentlessness of the spirit. I want people to live this music the way we did when we wrote it. I want them to jump, dance, scream, laugh, cry, love, and vibe to it, and to turn it up very loud everywhere.”

The Spirit Indestructible is Furtado’s first English-language studio album since 2006’s double-platinum Loose, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, was certified multi-platinum in 32 countries, and sold 10 million copies worldwide. Loose also spawned three hit singles, including the No. 1’s “Promiscuous” and “Say It Right,” both of which earned Furtado Grammy Award nominations.

Grammy winning recording artist Maroon 5 debuted their new single “Payphone” featuring Wiz Khalifa live on the smash hit show The Voice. The song is now available on iTunes and is the first track to surface from the band’s highly anticipated fourth album Overexposed, due out June 26th. The album was executive produced by Max Martin (Katy Perry, Pink, Britney Spears) with additional tracks produced by Benny Blanco (“Moves Like Jagger”) and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder.

19-year-old Jake Miller is taking the hip hop scene by storm with his brand new remix of B.o.B’s “Beast Mode.” The track originally appeared on B.o.B’s No Genre mixtape, and was produced by multi-platinum, Grammy winning producer Infinity (Ludacris, R. Kelly, Lupe Fiasco). The remix (available for free download) finds Jake showing off his skills on the mic over the hard-hitting beat, while the music video has racked up over 8,000 views in less than a day.

Jake’s single “What I Wouldn’t Give (produced by The Fliptones and written by Jake himself) was recently featured as a Buzzworthy track on MTV.com, who proclaim, “Jake Miller’s about to blow up.” The South Florida rapper has already performed alongside the likes of Cee-Lo Green, Ne-Yo, Mac Miller, Flo Rida, Sean Kingston, and Jason Derulo.

Warner Bros. Records has signed India-born, Los Angeles, CA-based singer and songwriter Helena and is pleased to announce several upcoming live appearances that will serve as a welcome introduction to this gifted newcomer. Discovered and signed by WBR Senior Vice President of A&R Kara DioGuardi, Helena will perform at The Hotel Café in Hollywood for three-show residency, appearing on June 7^th, June 14^th, and June 21^st. She will also perform on the BMI Stage at this year’s Lollapalooza festival, which takes place August 3-5 in Chicago, IL.

A free-spirited personality with a jazzy, soulful voice, Helena has been in the studio with producer Sandy Chila working on songs for her debut album, which will be released by Warner Bros. Records later this year. Her breezy lilting pop sound takes left-hand turns and unexpected detours into synth-driven electronica and charming indie-folk, mixing heartfelt emotion with unearthly atmospherics and driving, contemporary beats.

“To me, the music is a film for your ears, sometimes a fairytale, or a mystery,” Helena says. “It is by turns cinematic, brooding, emotional, and playful. Each song is woven with both dark and light. If you listen carefully, there’s a lot of subtlety and nuance in the structure behind the bass and the beats. I want my music to take listeners back to a time when they felt free and happy and remind them that they can feel that now, no matter how challenging their lives are. Helena comes by her striking voice and songwriting ability through a childhood steeped in the arts. She was born in Mussoorie, India, to musical parents (her father is professional sitar and tabla player and her mother is a classical Indian vocalist) and raised in rural Pennsylvania where she became skilled in poetry,dance, and violin, which she began studying at age four. Improvising and composing from a young age, Helena began turning her poetry into songs while attending the internationally acclaimed Woodstock School in the foothills of the Himalayas. After time spent living in Santa Cruz and San Francisco, Helena moved to Los Angeles two years ago and has been pursuing her music ever since.
