Alicia Keys' 3rd Single To Be "Empire State of Mind Part II"

By iWontSTFU On January 13, 2010 No Comments

Many people thought Alicia Keys’ collaboration with Beyoncé would be her next single but according to Digital Spy this is not the case.

The track, entitled ‘Empire State Of Mind Part II’, just features Keys and will be released on February 22.
Discussing the record, Keys claimed that it acts as a dichotomy of strength and vulnerability.

“The music is really strong, and the drums are really aggressive, but my voice is vulnerable and delicate,” she said.

This is great news! I really love her version of “Empire State Of Mind”. However, I am not quite sure if this might be a UK/world wide release only and the US gets in fact “Put It In A Love Song”. We’ll see.

My girl Melanie Fiona is finally doing big things. Next to her deserved chart success and Grammy nomination Mel is going to be on tour with multi-Grammy winner Alicia Keys!

“I’ve admired Alicia Keys since before I got into the music industry, just everything she represents as a female artist,” said Fiona, who is gearing up to tour North America with her role model. “I feel like us collaborating on a tour is going to be really strong, really empowering and what a great show, so I’m really excited.”

Alicia Keys To Shoot Video With Her Friend Beyoncé?

By iWontSTFU On January 6, 2010 No Comments

Alicia Keys told BET that she and Beyoncé might shoot a video for “Put It In A Love Song”.

“Are you gonna get your wish to see the video for “Put it in a Love Song” with Beyonce, I have to say it’s looking really likely, ‘cause we have to do that,’” Keys revealed. “And we’ve already talked about where we want it to be. We’ve been toying with some ill locations. She’s an incredible lady and I absolutely consider her a friend. And we are going to totally, entirely blow your whole head backwards when we do that video.”

I would like to see them in a video together but I’m still not happy about the song itself. It could have been better. But maybe the video would change things?

By iWontSTFU On December 31, 2009 No Comments

I’m going to present my favorite albums of 2009. I considered only album which release dates were in 2009.

#1

MARIAH CAREY – MEMOIRS OF AN IMPERFECT ANGEL
Cover

Mariah came back with an incredible album. I listened to it like crazy. She was able to give her fans a bit of all her sides: Old Mariah, hip-hop Mariah, pop Mariah. Unfortunately the album wasn’t as succesful as it deserves to be in my opinion. But in the end it’s whatever to me because hey I got an album that I can jam to for years.

#2

THE FAME MONSTER

Initially meant to be a re-.release Lady Gaga declared “The Fame Monster” to be a normal album with only eight tracks. However,
