Cypress Hill has released an exclusive “in the studio” video of System of a Down’s Daron Malakian producing and playing on the song “Trouble Seeker.” The guitar heavy track will appear on the hip-hop legend’s eighth studio album, Rise Up, available everywhere 4/20. Cypress Hill Team Up With the LA Leakers to Present Leakers Of The Funk

Last Friday the LA Leakers of Power 106 Los Angeles (KPWR) teamed up with iconic west coast rappers Cypress Hill to premiere the audiobiography mix CD, Leakers Of The Funk. To coincide with the release, the Leakers used their blog and released three clips of B-Real and Sen Dog speaking briefly about how some of the material came together. The LA Leakers x Cypress Hill collaboration features a mix of classic songs including “Hand On The Pump” as well as a few exclusives off of the hip-hop group’s upcoming album Rise Up, available in-stores and online April 6th.

New Cypress Hill Album Features All-Star Guest Lineup

Cypress Hill returns April 6th with RISE UP (Priority/EMI), an album whose thrilling mix of deep grooves and hard riffs are amplified by guest appearances from Rage Against The Machine/Street Sweeper Social Club guitarist Tom Morello, Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda, System of a Down guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian, singer-songwriter Marc Anthony, rapper Pitbull, Everlast, Young De, Evidence, The Alchemist and comic legends Cheech & Chong.
The album spotlights not one, but two lead singles: the incendiary title cut “Rise Up,” which features Tom Morello (who co-wrote and co-produced the song) and “Armada Latina,” a hip-hop-flavored track spiced with vocals by Marc Anthony and Pitbull and production by Jim Jonsin (Lil Wayne, Beyonce).

Cypress Hill Join Snoop’s Priority Records

Snoop Dogg has made his first signing as Creative Chairman of Priority Records, adding West Coast rappers Cypress Hill to the revived label’s roster. Snoop and Cypress Hill made the announcement on yesterday’s Lopez Tonight show, where the Black Sunday band performed their hit “Insane in the Brain.” Cypress Hill will release “Rise Up”, their first album since 2004’s “Til Death Do Us Part”, on April 6th.
