Los Angeles electro-hip hop group, Far East Movement, have just released the official music video for their new single, “Jello” featuring Rye Rye. The video, directed by Matt Alonzo (Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy), shows the group crashing a political event with Tiger Woods, Oprah, and others.
“Jello” comes from the group’s upcoming album, Dirty Bass , slated for a 2012 release.

Far East Movement have just announced that they will be a part of the second leg of Lil Wayne’s “I Am Still Music” tour. The Downtown Los Angeles based group will join Rick Ross, Lloyd and Keri Hilson on the highly anticipated summer tour.
FM is currently on the “Free Wired College Tour” and keeping fans in the loop with blogs on their official site.
Free Wired, featuring the triple platinum-plus “Like A G6,” “Rocketeer,” and new single “If I Was You (OMG)” is available on iTunes now via Cherrytree Records.

Check out the premiere of Far East Movement’s new video “If I Was You (OMG)” featuring Snoop Dogg filmed at La Cita in Los Angeles.

“We wanted to portray what the song represented,” explains Kev Nish. “For us, it’s about bridging that classic West Coast through Snoop Dogg with the DJs in the party scene and mixing those two worlds.”

Check out the premiere of Far East Movement’s new video “2 Is Better” featuring their Cherrytree Records label-mate Natalia Kills and San Francisco rapper Ya Boy. The video was helmed by Parisian film director Guillaume Doubet and also features The Stereotypes, Frankmusik, Colette Carr and Cherry Cherry Boom Boom.

Check out a brand new short film from Far East Movement inspired by their Downtown LA upbringing set to their new hit single “Rocketeer.” The “Free Wired” group explains:

“When we did the song Rocketeer off our Free Wired album, it was inspired by how we grew up in Downtown LA as LA Dreamers living on a dream and never knowing where it would take you. We wanted to paint a portrait of where we live, from where we started, to the free wired mashed up community of dreamers that make up LA. We linked up with our neighbor, DPD of Transparent Agency, and went around with a camera to capture our home… then hooked up the same sound set up of old mics and amps we first used to rehearse on, and recorded this live remix in the old backroom to give it a sound like

Far East Movement stopped by The Tonight Show last week to perform their hit single “Like a G6.” After their performance, the group took some time to hang out with Rickey Minor and the tonight show band backstage. FM spoke about their LA roots and their recently released album, Free Wired.

Far East Movement, the group behind the club anthem “Like A G6,” have premiered the video for their new single “Rocketeer” featuring OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder. Directed by Marc Klasfeld (Flo-Rida, Jay-Z, Nelly), the clip tells the story of a dedicated boyfriend who would do anything to reach his girlfriend across the globe.
FM wanted to bring fans to their hometown of Los Angeles, California. “We wanted to take yall on a skate thru the Free Wired Downtown LA we livin in that inspires us daily,” explained the group. “The whole video was shot outside our cribs, the art galleries n cafes we chill at, where we grub, where we party and its filled with different dreamers we know around the way that make up a free wired LA…”
“Rocketeer,” produced by the Stereotypes and co-written by Bruno Mars, appears on FM’s debut album “Free Wired”.

After wrapping up a tour alongside “Cooler Than Me” crooner, Mike Posner, Far East Movement have announced a number of upcoming tour dates with their Cherrytree Records label mate, La Roux. The group will be hitting a select number of cities on the East Coast with more dates to follow in the coming months. FM also stopped by MTV to further explain their signature sound known as Free Wired. The group dishes on where their unique style came from and some of their musical influences.

If somebody asked me how I would describe Far East Movement, I’d put this formula: LMFAO + Teriyaki Boyz = Far East Movement. With that said I must also mention that I like both groups but Far East Movement actually takes it yet to another level.

Their hit single “Like A G6″ sure is a club banger that I absolutely love. I would put “Go Ape” featuring Lil Jon in the very same bucket. Even though Lil Jon’s features are a little outdated it works well here, additionally the Gwen Stefani line “This shit is bananas B-A-N-A-N-A-S” adds some flavour to the track.

Interestingly enough are also the A-list features such as Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Snoop Dogg and Keri Hilson. By reading this line-up you can already tell that Far East Movement is going full force.

Watch Far East Movement make their television debut on Lopez Tonight. The free wired group rocked their single “Like A G6″ which has reached #1 on the iTunes singles chart and #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
