iWontSTFU’s Top 15 Albums of 2009

MARIAH CAREY – MEMOIRS OF AN IMPERFECT ANGEL
![]()
Mariah came back with an incredible album. I listened to it like crazy. She was able to give her fans a bit of all her sides: Old Mariah, hip-hop Mariah, pop Mariah. Unfortunately the album wasn’t as succesful as it deserves to be in my opinion. But in the end it’s whatever to me because hey I got an album that I can jam to for years.
#2
THE FAME MONSTER
Initially meant to be a re-.release Lady Gaga declared “The Fame Monster” to be a normal album with only eight tracks. However,

With “It’s A Wrap” being one of my favorite she better not mess it up – and she didn’t. Thanks to lipping certain parts of course.

"H.A.T.E.U." Video To Premiere Today!
New premium music video site VEVO.com is set to launch today, December 8th with a coming out party in New York City that includes Mariah taking the stage to premiere her new video, “H.A.T.E.U.” The video for “H.A.T.E.U.” was shot last month in California by renowned filmmaker Brett Ratner, whose videography with Mariah Carey stretches back more than a decade, to 1998′s “I Still Believe.” Along the way, Ratner has directed videos for Mariah including “It’s Like That” and “We Belong Together” (from The Emancipation Of Mimi), “Touch My Body” (from E=MC2) and, most recently, for her platinum selling # 1 single “Obsessed” (from Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel).
Check out VEVO.com tonight, December 8th to watch Mariah’s new video, “H.A.T.E.U.”
So let’s just hope the video will be…decent?

MARIAH CAREY has blamed music industry bosses for failing to spot the internet download trend – accusing record labels of letting their artists down by allowing illegal file-sharing to become commonplace.
Carey is adamant label bosses should have realised the potential of the internet a long time before illicit song swapping became prevalent, and she’s furious because the practise means many musicians lose out on precious royalty money. The Hero hitmaker insists that although record labels are slowly beginning to grasp the potential of the internet, they will never be able to repair the damage done by illegal downloads, because many consumers now feel entitled to get their music for free.
She says, “Frickin’ idiots! A lot of big, powerful music industry executives made a giant mistake and now we’re all paying the price. They gave the music business away on the internet. If they

Because there are people who can actually sing.
Karina Pasian, who turned just 18 (Happy belated birthday!) recorded this tribute video and I absolutely love this girl. The 16 @ War singer really went in at the end I really wouldn’t mind getting a studio version of it.
Actually Karina already performed “I’ll be there” on Star Search when she was cute 12 years old.

This is the demo for Mariah’s (next single?) song “H.A.T.E. U” of which we already heard a LQ clip from a listening party.
I think it sounds very promising. It’s a nice slow jam that will even be better when Mariah adds some of her amazing adlibs (yes, I know her voice ain’t what it used to be but hey it’s a studio version!). I can’t wait for her version.
