Video: The Spill Canvas – Dust Storm
As they continue on the second leg of their nationwide tour with the Goo Goo Dolls, alt-rockers The Spill Canvas have released a music video for “Dust Storm,” the second single from their recent LP Formalities. The video – described by the band as “the most fun video shoot they’ve ever been a part of” – dives into the secret lives of Lego People and other childhood icons as they attempt to weather the storm.

When The Spill Canvas released their EP “Realities” back in May I already gave you my input on the songs. Now let’s take a look at the songs that complete the album “Formalities”.
As Long As It Takes
Catchy! I like it.
Good Graces, Bad Influence
Tempo changes and emphatic vocals describe “Good Graces, Bad Influence”.
The Bone
…rather belongs to the song that I would skip as it is a little bit to hectic to me.
Don’t Let Your Enemies Become Friends
Great songs in my opinion. I really enjoy how the song takes slowly off.
We don’t want to forget the acoustic version of the songs “10,000 Midnights”, “Dust Storm”, “Our Song”, “As Long As It Takes” which I found all as extremely well done. So if you’re tired of the regular studio version this is definitely your way to go.

The Spill Canvas recently released an EP called “Realities”. I decided to check it out and you can now read what I think about their latest effort.
Our Song
Great song. It’s really catchy and I can totally see why this one has been chosen to be a single.
Dust Storm
To be honest I am not quite sure what to think about this song. Something is off there, however, it is not bad neither.
Let Go
…sounds kinda like a continuation of “Dust Storm”. It somewhat has the same vibe but I’m really feeling the chorus this time.

Video: The Spill Canvas – Our Song
A day after the release of their latest EP, Realities, which I will review in a bit, The Spill Canvas premiered their new music video for “Our Song” on MTV. The video is a witty spin on classic movies like Disney’s Lady and the Tramp, Night of the Living Dead, Titanic, and Say Anything to name a few, and should have fans old and new singing along to “Our Song” in no time.
